Dr. Josie Arredondo-Holden
Consulting Child Psychologist
A native of San Antonio, Dr. Arredondo-Holden graduated from Highlands High School in 1970. She attended Trinity University and graduated with a BA degree in Psychology and Socialogy. Winning a Danforth Fellowship enabled her to attend the University of Denver where she obtained an MA (1975) and a PhD (1978) in Clinical Psychology, subsequent to having completed an internship at Topeka State Hospital and the Menninger Foundation. Upon returning to San Antonio, in 1979, Dr. Arredondo-Holden worked with Bexar County MHMR to establish a mental health component in a primary health care setting (Barrio Clinic).
From September 1981 - May 1994 she worked as the Consulting School Psychologist for the Edgewood ISD. Since 1995, she has worked in the same capacity for San Antonio ISD. In 2004 she started working as a consulting Psychologist for the House of Neighborly Service's KID's PLACE Child Development and Treatment Center, as a part of the Child and Family Services team. She has also maintained a private practice from March 1985 to the present.
Born in San Antonio and raised on the south side of town, Cindy has been with House of Neighborly Service since 2006. She is working on her Associate's Degree in Early Childhood.
